It looks nice on paper, but the nannies making over $50K work a ton of hours and put up with the usual crap and entitlement you get from people with money to burn. Its not all bubbles and sing-alongs.![]()

And before we all get IRS crazy.... this is my first off the books job... I've paid my taxes since I was 14 (20 years ago). And by the time I turn 65, there won't be SS or Medicare at the rate we are going.
So you get to decide when you pay taxes? I have paying taxes for 20 years also. And I still do. I hope you get caught.

Very high end for my area.
You realize that you will be missing out on unemployment, Medicare and SS benefits because you are paid under the table?

I'm guessing it's about average for my area (southern California).
No, you are definitely on the high side.
You have no clue, 20:29, so shut it.
Yes, I do, pp. i've lived here for 30 years on the westside of LA and employed nannies for the last 20. Funny how you resort to being crude when challenged.
LA is very different from San Fran and the nanny market is completely different.
I'm the first poster on this. I am not sure what other nannies make in my area, but for the nannies in my circle we all make fairly the same thing (we don't discuss full numbers, so that's not concrete).
No kidding. San Francisco is not in southern california. LA is.
