Noone would ever win a lawsuit. What damanges (besides annoyance) did the parent face? You morons get all sue happy over the most ridiculous things.

I can only speak for myself, but I assumed OP was a troll and even reported the thread to Jeff. But on the off chance that OP wasn't, I did want to provide some information about the effects of strokes and damage they can cause to the brain that aren't always obvious. I have a friend who suffered from a brain injury (not a stroke) and was convinced since the doctor gave him a clean bill of health, that it meant he was ok. In reality, he was more aggressive and had almost no impulse control. He finally got some help and is doing better. I hope OP is a troll or that OP was like this before the stroke. I really, really, really hope that OP hasn't suffered some damage that she's not aware of that has changed her personality.
Will you idiots stop reporting every thread to Jeff. He has alot of upkeeping to do on this site and shouldn't be bothered over nonsense by paranoid troll-callers. Do you notice that almost every thread you report STAYS UP??? Get a life.

I wasn't talking about the stroke posters, but look back at 15:44, 16;38, and 16:59, who call her among other things "completely unhinged," and that tell her that they are sure she has "a big red flag" for mental illness. Seriously? I know that DCUMers like to rush to judgment, but comments like that are anything but "very kind to OP" and they do not help her.

Go easy. We all agree she handled this incorrectly, but OP is dealing with the after effects of a stroke. She needs encouragement and support right now. OP, I hope you are going to the doctor to be evaluated.

Posters aren't being nasty or diagnosing a mental illness. They are trying to point out lingering affects of a stroke that OP might be missing. If this type of behavior is new for OP since her stroke (as in before she wouldn't have kept calling, checked out the apt, or called the cops) than it needs to be addressed with her doctor. No one is being nasty.

OP, you should just move on from this. Just take it as a lesson learned and move on. Yes, people do crappy things all the time. I think many nannies can tell you similar stories. The best thing would be just to keep looking for the right job for you.
