I don't disagree with this, I think what people have a problem with though is that it seemed very callous the way she said she had a "personality conflict" with a 3 year old who she didn't describe as especially difficult. The problem with DCUM is that we usually don't have all the information so maybe there is more to the story but most of us respond to what we know. In this case someone whose apparent ONLY problem is not saying please and thank you. To me that is the sign of someone without a lot of patience and I think most people can agree that to work as a nanny you do need a lot of patience. If there is more going on then that's fine but just based on what she said I wouldn't want her as a nanny.

I sure as fuck wouldn’t tolerate a job I am not happy with. OP do whatever makes you happy. Some kids are difficult or it's hard to bond with them.

Yes that is true. But OP did not complain about lots of other things and the examples she gave of why the child was difficult are very minor issues.

I don't think you need to jump to that conclusion. Sometimes it's just a bad fit. If a nanny or babysitter is unhappy in an environment that is unlikely to change, then it is very likely that she will not be able to fulfill her role completely.

I was an early pp siding with you OP but now I think your MB may be happy to have you go. Unbelievable you would deem a 3 YO who does not yet say plz and thank you all the time As difficult.
