Is it possible that she didn't receive your offer?

It must be a done deal by now, one way or the other.

I think it's fine and smart to take a few days to consider any offer.

But she should have communicated that to you and told you when she would be making her decision.

She doesn't want the job- and if she does, she shouldn't get it. You can do better, and if you can't then something is wrong with the offer/contract or job description.

If she were considering other offers or still interviewing, she should have communicated that to you. Just send an email saying the offer is rescinded and mov eon to your next candidate.

I would move on. If she is this lax in getting information back to you, is this the type of employee you want? She will probably show up late or not at all at times.

I would send the email as the others suggested, or phone and ask the same questions and request an answer by the next day unless there is a good reason for waiting.

My last time interviewing, I had a job offer on the table, but 2 more part-time interviews that would have allowed me to put together another "full-time" job. The last interview was several days after I received the offer, and I had to leaved her waiting for longer than I would have liked to, just from the logistics of having several families to meet. Maybe she had one more interview and wanted to be sure before committing to you..... Good Luck either way. I know it's not an easy process.

OP, after five days I am pretty positive your offer is not attractive enough for her or she is awaiting another offer.

Since she hasn't flat out denied your offer, I am assuming she is stringing you along hoping for another offer from someone else. This is unfair to you so I would let her know tomorrow that you need an answer by tomorrow or the next day or you will need to continue your search.

I would not hire her. I would consider this rude, foolish, and thoughtless and a major gift to see this before I'd hired her. This is not someone who is looking to build a positive relationship with you.

Whatever the reason for her lack of responsiveness (barring hospitalization) it's unacceptable.

I would move on immediately and let her know that you assume, since you haven't heard from her, that she is not interested in the job and you are moving forward with other candidates.
