I'm sorry but you clearly are overwhelmed- in general, not in this very moment necessarily. Listen to the advice you've been given while you have this downtime (which was VERY nice of your nanny to give you, and really from her perspective she shouldn't have done it since you are obviously so prone to taking advantage of her). Examine your motives and where the true responsibilities lie in this situation.

OP, you need to realize that she is the kids' nanny, not their second parent. I'm sorry you're parenting alone, but that's not the nanny's fault. Do you work for free? No, then why should she? Your expectations here are so very unreasonable. You cannot fault someone for using their own free time as they choose. It sounds like you need to really come to terms with healthy boundaries in this sort of a situation. I wish you luck, and if you're getting overwhelmed, let them watch a movie. It's what Disney was made for!

She works nearly 50 hours per week OP. you're whining about having to "wrangle" your OWN kids for 2 freaking days, but "her job isn't super hard"?? Most people who work 12 hour days are ready to be done at the end of the day too. You want her to stick around for more time in addition to her 12 hour days? Get real.

OP, your nanny has set hours and her own life. It is not her responsibility to watch your children on her off time. You might need a weekend nanny if you cannot deal with your children by yourself.

But I would mention the sex thing to her. That is disrespectful on her part.

Your first sentence says it "She's off DUTY"

There is no reason for her to help you on her time off.
Your friend is right - you want to dump your kids on her for free.

Why don't you pretend she's a live out and not there and deal with the kids yourself.

And before you ask - yes I'm a MB and I have a live in. I have 4 children and my DH and I respect our nannys time off.
