Call it what you want, but has anyone approached you (while you clearly had another nanny job) to be their nanny? Do you trust them? Do you think you will be replaced when they get tired of you? Or do you think they would be a good, loyal employer? Or do you say "yes" to a future commitment (not solid) to avoid telling them "no" (sometimes this is cultural)?
Would you ever work for someone else when your current employer treats you well, is flexible, kind, generous and the kids love you?
Or do you tell a parent who approaches you to "back off" (not in those words)?
Who cares?
Of course most people want the best nanny they can afford. Because so many good nannies are relatively poorly compensated, it's fairly easy to go to the park on any weekday, and strike up a friendly conversation with the most desirable nanny you see.

Just understand it's in your best interest to pay and treat your nanny the best you can.
