OP - I seriously have no idea why you would have an issue with this. There must either be more to the story or you are trolling.

OP again. She is younger than me. What does that have to do with anything. She is about 27 and her husband ALOT older (35).

This is the first thread I'm read on DCUM where I am speechless. I have no idea how to respond to this.

Ohh, poor OP! She wants a husband who can buy her things as well!

OP, they don't have kids yet, which means they have extra money. You are clearly jealous or this is a fake post. Why roll your eyes at her having a nice car? Because she works for you and can afford more than you? Do you need a younger nanny who has less ability, but also less money? I most definitely have a nicer home than the family I work for, so what! Get over it OP! If you go to her and tell her that you don't want your kids driven around in that thing she just bought, expect her to start a search for a less narcissistic MB. You sound ridiculous and jealous, and nothing more.

Yeah, what parent doesn't want her kids in the safest possible car?

She was driving her car. It was an Acura MDX. Now her husband went out and got her a new car (and also go them a new house to live in).

It isn't the gas and milage, it is just that I do not want my kids paraded around in that ostentatious display.

IMO, while both of those cars are nice "luxury" cars, they aren't really too ostentatious. They are nice, reliable and safe cars and if her husband has worked hard enough and can afford to buy his wife one, then I say good for them. However, if you really, honestly, feel uncomfortable about it then that's your decision to make. You may want to consider, however, how you will feel if they do get in an accident in the small, not so safe car when they could have been in the suv.

New car, new house. She's going to drive the safest car. Kiss her feet and count your lucky stars. What do you pay her?

Personally I prefer to drive my own car as a nanny. If she was previously driving your car and now wants to switch to hers I would just tell her no. If she was driving her car and got a new one I wouldn't switch to driving your car

Most nannies will not function as obiedient robots.

OP, if you want the nanny to use your nanny car while driving your children during her work hours, just tell her that. You're the boss. What exactly is the problem?
