Pay rates differ significantly in different areas.

Nannies are mad that someone would charge so little because it drives wages down, but that's what a market is/does. Some nannies also foresee an impending change in wages due to the downward economy and want to ensure they keep a job. Most nannies are not educated on the economic climate (most people are not in general), so it'll blindside them when their employers start dropping wages. They'll complain and complain and refuse to accept the truth and then just be broke and unemployed. All of the 5 buck nannies will be smiling in the corner thankful that they may not be getting high wages, but they have a job (win-win).
Indeed, and we will all be subsidizing their food stamps and welfare checks so you can gloat about your cheap nanny, and the fact the she's "not allowed" to eat your food.
How is it that you sleep with yourself every night, you entitled slob?
You make nannies look bad. IF you want people to take childcare seriously then maybe you should act professionaol versus low class. Just saying. Also, calling people names like a 12 year old is another way to get people to not take you seriously. Congrats!

$5./hour IS below your "market rate" and everyone knows it, lol. Anyone who suggests otherwise is a first class slob.
I think you're a first class slob, but we can also add dumb ass to the list. The economy is the economy and the market is the market. In my profession, I'd like a million dollars and believe I'm worth that much, but my employer isn't an entitled slob for not paying me that, nor is he responsible for the economic trends that decide my wages. I could curse him all I wanted, still not his fault.
I don't know where you come from, but here in the United States we have something we call a federal "minimum wage". That means that when your "cheap nanny" frees herself from your bondage, she will report you. You'll still be touting your illegal $5/hr bargain nanny, who you thought was so very fortunate to have a "job". And she'll have the last laugh and a fat bank account with all of your paid up back wages.
You are just one dumb ass who just won't go away. You need to try a little more reading comprehension and a little less DCUM anonymous blogging. I just hope you aren't in charge of any children. No one on here is touting their $5 nanny. Many posters have explained what drives market rate wages and the current situation with the economy. Bottom line, if people are losing jobs and experiencing pay cuts with a slumping economy, we all lose. That includes nannies and other domestic workers. Period. If parents who initially could afford a higher wage, cannot due to market conditions, the nanny will be paid less. Period. If there are nannies who would rather have any form of income versus "zero" some may take $5. Your ignorance of that and misplaced anger is just reflective of your worth- ZERO! Go chew on that hateful nanny TROLL!
Anonymous wrote:I assume that when the economy bounces back all the MBs will be perfectly happy to pay higher market rates again right? $5/hour is never appropriate whether someone is willing to accept it or not, you know better and I hope you are better than that. If $5/hour is all that you can afford, you need to reconsider your priorities and alternative options.
Anonymous wrote:If you think that nanny is a troll why do you continue to engage? Your defensiveness and name calling is only serving to make you look silly, because we all know she's nuts. Now we know you are too.
