I wouldn't let her go. I think its a good sign that she is making an effort to research this before baby comes. It can be a win win for you both- you get to keep a nanny you already know and who is good with your toddler and you get to teach her how you want things to be done, and she gains first hand experience of newborns.

In some cases, it can be better for the parents. You will be able to train her easier how you want things done, as opposed to someone who thinks she knows better than you.
