I haven't weighed in on this yet and know nothing about LA rates, but my employers are "highly paid" (IMO) and couldn't possibly afford $28/hr plus overtime.

Also to have been with one family for nearly 10 years should speak volumes about the kind of nanny she is. Shame on you PP. formal education is not the only path to success.
