I agree that that is not enough to pay a nanny, totally agree.
But to have a baby or toddler and then have to find $900 a month for childcare is a lot of money. I used to be a nanny and am now a Mom.
How many of you nannies could afford to pay out an extra $900 of your monthly income for childcare.
Not everyone is rich but we all still want good childcare.
$900 a month is cheap for childcare.
Full time care at 40 hours a week for four weeks (minimum) is 160 hours. At $900 a month that's $5.60/hr MAXIMUM. No one here is suggesting child care is cheap, having kids is expensive, but that is a cheap daycare compared to others.
