Seriously, not everyone gets all the symptoms possible. I was told I had the flu one time and I was just very lethargic, had what seemed more like allergy symptoms to me than cold/flu ones, and a very slightly higher temp than normal (for me it could have been kind of high since I run low normally, but it was just above normal for someone who runs at about 98.6F).

OP -Thank-you for all your replies. I do have the flu (fever (low), runny/stuffy nose, awful headache, bit of an earache, exhaustion), didn't list all the symptoms here this morning, just the worst of it.

I find it hard to decide if I am 'sick enough' to call in, because I am capable of pushing through almost anything if needed and don't want to cause hassle for my bosses. I think I was too sick to go in, but went in anyway when I couldn't reach MB this morning. She is/was not worried about the kids catching it b/c they already have it.

Nannies should not be put under this kind of pressure to go in if they are sick at all. Parents are dumb if they have no backup care in place. What if you are in a car accident or something else major happens. They can depend on you all they want, but it doesn't change the fact that life happens and they need to be prepared for those things just in case.
