I am an attorney and my first years I was putting in 80+ hrs a week, I was almost living at the office!!! And what was I paid in those days, 75k!
I am an attorney who worked pretty sane hours for about 65k/year when i started out. No way would I have trade five nights of freedom for 10k.
OP - would the extra 10k/year even cover rent for an apartment you use on weekends?

Say you earn 25 bucks an hour (good wage for a very experienced, legal nanny in NYC).
You are needed to work from 7am-7pm M-F. That's 60hrs a week.
40hrs x regular 25 = $1000
20hrs x overtime(37.5) = $750
Weekly salary $1750
Yearly salary $91,000
Why would you idiot nannies give your life away and work 110 hrs a week for less pay than you can earn just working 60!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
