Let's actually work to keep this forum professional and helpful. It would be so nice to have a place to exchange ideas, get advice, etc with having other posters scream TROLL every 5 seconds or complain about "entitled nannies" who have questions about fair wages. I'm actually really excited about this.

As I've said in multiple posts, nothing is written in stone. I started with the regional forums and asked for suggestions for other topics. As good suggestions have come in, I've added forums. I'll probably start removing some that look like they might not get used. I'm just trying to find the right combination at the moment.

The number of sub forums seems a bit much. I am not sure why you need regional and random sub forums (nannies in the news as a sub forum?). The beauty of the old forum is that you could pop on for two minutes and do a quick scan.

Parents who want to post about nannies should do so in the new forums. You make a good point that this is not obvious. I think I will create a forum for Employer questions to make that a bit more clear.

Nanny posts should not be placed in the General Parenting Forum.

Nobody is checking passports. Post in any region you want. But, the easiest way to check recent posts across all forums is to use the "Recent Posts" link on the left.

Since the old forum is just for DC nannies, I guess I'm a DC nanny now! I post there because parents post there as well and it's helpful getting their input. If I wanted to just talk to nannies I'd go to the park.
