OP, if you are still reading, don’t discount a really good daycare if a good nanny isn’t in the budget.

It all depends on what and who you want caring for your child. Educated and experienced nannies are expensive, there is no question. My preference was a nanny with teaching experience and a college degree. We pay a high rate for her.

If we weren’t able to afford a nanny of this caliber, we would have gone with a good daycare.

To the person who said, they spend a 1/3 less than the person spending $27 per hour. You must not be too intelligent yourself, because a 1/3 less is $9 per hour, not the $15 you say you are paying.

Your entire field is unaccredited, and while you may seek third party accreditations for specific skills many of the certificates are not globally accepted and are given simply for signing up and attending a session.
