FWIW many rejections from girls who didn't want to be au pair for family with SAHM

Actually that is what this topic is about... if you’re not white. To pretend that race/religion/ethnicity doesn’t factor into automatic rejection is to be ignorant or in denial of your own privilege. Not up to you to silence the voices of the people of color on this thread who are dealing with this because it doesn’t affect you.

I actually dont see an issue with AuPsirs singling out people based on race. When I choose an AuPair, I will not consider Asian AuPairs, south American AuPairs, Polish, Spanish, Italian, and am hesitant to consider British, Australian and South African. I absolutely will not host a Muslim or any other person who eont eat pork, including vegetarians. Many host families also rule out entire ethnicities and there is nothing wrong with APs responding in kind.

Who in the world do you want to match with??? Germans and...French?

We have only matched with Scandanavians, Germans, and Austrians.

Some hfs only want German aps. And they only want their aps to have German ap friends

German APs are so overrated!! Unless you want them for the German language.

We do only match with German APs due to language. That said, we have happily hosted and adored two Germans of African descent. We may privilege a language for our own family reasons but that doesn’t mean we are racists.
