What is a realistic hourly expectation for someone who doesnt have a ton of infant experience but does have a nursing degree?

Not trying to be a jerk buf experience would mean more to me than a degree, even in nursing, unless my kid had SN and needed medical type care the nursing degree is not an advantage.

Agencies require experience though so I’d recommend volunteering at a hospital, through a religious org, or a community to get infant experience first. You could also try date nights for parents of infants or offer part-time day help while parent is on maternity leave to give them a break. You’ll need to offer a lower rate w no experience and build up over time. For no experience w RN, I’d say about $20-$25/hr and after you have a few references it will be easy to up it to $25-30.
