it is very few hrs. I charge $30 for anything between 25-32 hrs a week, and would never accepted 16 hrs a week for any money at all. Just not worth it for me since others need more hours and are willing to pay my rate.

OP didn’t specify what hours she wants. I agree, if she only wants care before 2 pm or so, it might be fine, because the nanny can get a second job as an after school nanny.
But if OP is looking for someone with hours that overlap the “after school” time, she’ll have a harder time.

I would guess that $22-26/HR would be a decent rate.

I think currently the rate is around 30-35 dollars per hour in the DC region

At least 32 dollars per hour if you are looking for something long term

What is a reasonable rate for one infant, 4 hours per day, 4 days/wk, so 16 hours per week. Would not expect caregiver to do anything around the house beyond taking care of the baby.
