Sometimes this is developmental. So keep in mind, maybe it would have happened anyway. Talk with host mom A LOT about exactly what kid is doing and saying about it. Kids this age are sometimes just starting to have really bad dreams. Anything that is happening during the day that you don't know about. Screen time??? or anything else that could be bothering said child. It's hard, but you'll find a way to get through it! I know it's upsetting. The rest of your day your'e probably just singing, counting, running around and having fun. it is really hard to see a kid so upset. Hope you all get to the bottom of it, and find a solution together. Whatever you do, communicate the truth as much as you can .... and comfort in the ways your able to comfort.

Do you have to get him out of bed then or can you give him some more time to sleep or to wake up more slowly?

Is he teething?

I’d walk out of the room, give him a couple of mins, then go back in again. Repeat until he’s ok about you going in to get him.

Hi I have a question. I live with my hostfamily for 2 month now and everything went finde with the one year old. But the last 3 days he‘s always crying when I want to get him out of his bed after his nap. I just go into his room and he starts crying. Idk what to do and my hostparents neither. Does anyone maybe have tips or similar experience?
(P.S He‘s also really clingy to his mom at the moment)
