Kids these days have way too many toys, games, puzzles, ETC.

Even though you were very kind to give your charges a holiday gift, it is highly likely the parents really wished you wouldn’t as that just adds more toys for them to clean up or donate later.
It isn’t wise to gift your charges new toys in this day and age.
What the parents would have appreciated more would have been a book with a personal note inside or maybe a monetary donation to their college fund.

Look, kids these days have a ton of toys and stuffies and books. They thanked you. If they then, post Christmas, went through and ditched a ton of stuffies and books, yours might have gotten donated. That's life. Let this go and for gods sake do NOT ask. Asking the parents is super rude and (assuming, yes, the toys are gone) will be super awkward. And ABSOLUTELY do not ask the kids. Many parents of very small children (myself included) try and do toy/book/stuffy purges when the kids aren't paying attention, and if a paid nanny then called their attention to something that was missing, that would set them off and REALLY piss me off.

You need to let this go.

I personally think that parents do not like it when their Nannie’s give presents to their children, they may feel it is just intrusive and that it goes above boundaries.
While it was very generous of you to do so, like others stated your Xmas presents were likely regifted due to the parents feeling put out.
I would refrain from giving your charges presents in the future.

Some parents don’t like toys and while they were thankful they prob re-gifted or put them away. You were too nice and thoughtful to bring them gifts and I’d not ask. Is absolutely their choice to do what you want with their belongings/toys.

They probably regifted them or put them away for another time because they got an overwhelming number of gifts for their kids. It's legal - once you give someone a gift you have no control over what they do with it.

Girl they threw it away or maybe the kids hid their toys, either way don't internalize this just do your job. Parents can be very weird about giving their children gifts.
