You are blessed with a nanny who seems to love your baby is happy and comfortable with her : you're very lucky

She is NOT her mom and your baby absolutely knows the difference. Yes, she will get attached to her nanny, her teachers, maybe an aunt or a friend's mom ... This is really a blessing.

I wish my son loved our nanny like this. Our nanny has been with my son since he was 5.5 months old, and he tolerates her and ADORES my husband and me. Sometimes he gets mad when she arrives because he knows it means mom and dad have to work.

Your child knows you are her Mommy + loves you the most!

I cannot begin to understand why you would even consider firing someone who simply is doing a great job for you.

Career nanny here and this is often seen with first time moms and what you're feeling isn't normal hear me out. You are mom and no amount of time a childcare provider spends with your baby is going to replace who you are to your daughter. To fire someone or even consider it because your child loves her says a lot about you as a person. If your baby hated her you'd be on here telling a different story asking for advice. My point is be grateful you have a wonderful nanny that your child loves and stop over thinking and creating silly narratives in your head. Also do not bring this up to your husband because he's going to think you are nuts although he wouldn't say it. I've worked in many households and seen it first hand.

Ummm most parents would love to have someone they trust to take care of their child. I swear some people are truly nuts. It’s your child. Can’t she love more than one person. The nanny can’t replace you so stop being so dramatic. I’d hate to be the nanny. She is above to get fired because you’re jealous

It’s normal to feel this way, you should be thrilled though that your child loves your nanny. It doesn’t mean she loves you any less.
This is what happens when you work, I wouldn’t let the nanny go knowing how munch your child enjoys her unless you plan on being a sahm forever.

A child can never have too many people in their lives who love them. You are jealous. But you WANT your child to love their nanny. That's a good sign.

I am a new mom my baby just turned 12 months. We hired a nanny for my daughter when she was 6 months because we had to return to work. My baby girl started walking at 11 months and now she is a pro! Recently, when nanny arrives to work she runs to the door for a hug and when it’s time for nanny to go home most days she cries and doesn’t want nanny to leave?

I want to tell my husband that it makes me sad to see this. Watching my baby girl becoming attached to the nanny. But I need advice on what to say?

I think I want to take some time off work and just be with my baby but we will have to let the nanny go. Has any other moms felt this way?
