We live outside of NYC and have an almost 6 year old (K) in school 7:45-2:50; a 3 year old who is in school 8-11:30 5x/week (going from 8-12 next year); and a 17 month old not in school (but will be in preschool 2x/week for 3.5 hours on those days starting next fall). How much is she currently making for 2? If you’re already underpaying which you probably are then 2-3$ should be acceptable

6 month old (my rate would be about $30 per hr for 1 kid), and managing a toddler and a baby, plus pick up with all kids in a tow, is only for a pro. Even if you do not pick up with baby and a toddler in a tow, this is a job for either 2 people or 1 super nanny, thus $42

Thanks all! We have a current wonderful nanny for our two and are adding a third so was trying to sort out what the going rate is so we can match.

Rate will vary based on experience, age, fluent in English, legal, CPR certified, education.

I was more concerned with safety and level of interaction than I was if someone had a degree. You don’t need a degree to play dinosaurs with my kid

I get $38 hourly/40 hours guaranteed in Old town Alexandria. I don’t charge by the number of kids but I’m a seasoned and career nanny with BA in child development and won’t take anything less than $35 as alloparenting and nannying is a LOT of work.
