You can't. Start looking for a new job.

4 yr old does not need ipad while in your care. They should be able to occupy themselves while you clean after them and stuff

You need to have some structure. lunch, playground, reading/art/board games/workbooks, make him dinner/ipad while cooking.

One of my biggest pet peeves as a Nanny is parents who let their child watch TV before + after I get there yet restrict me from turning on the TV at all.
No exceptions!

I understand not wanting the Nanny to use the TV as a babysitter and all….
But sometimes during a longer shift (6+hrs) the child should be allowed some screen time especially if the Nanny needs to clean up after lunch or has been playing w/the charge for a significant amount of time & just needs a breather.
Sometimes it is just nice to have the TV on to have some sound.

If a parent allows zero screen time for the child while you are on duty but does when you are not there then they are hypocrites who are unrealistic w/their expectations.
How do they handle their own child…..??!

I would ask them if they have any alternative ideas and hopefully they will offer some suggestions for you.

If they do not, then look for a new position if you can afford to do so.

I’d have a conversation with them about expectations and creating a schedule including some quiet time, or independent quiet play.
If they don’t want to, look for a new job.

He is very spoiled child. Parents give him sweets when he get upset.
So it’s very complicated situation.

I’d chat with the parents and come up with a better plan and structure for the child. Screen time okay with parents but not okay when you’re in charge sounds like they can’t even handle their own child. Does the boy go to pre-k PT at all?

Yes both parents at home.
The issue is he dont stay at room and run around also since he is over tired he act very fussy.

Are you there 5 days a week? Is a parent at home with you or no?
You need some kind of schedule. Play from 11-12. Lunch, reading/puzzles, 30 min quiet time in room, then go outside after that. Playground, walk etc
