Host dad and the AP had an affair. Ugh. I remember when we first got our AP, a few people made random “jokes” like “uh-oh, better keep your husband on a leash!” Or whatever. I remember being really offended and of course my husband (and AP) were never anything but professional.
In the main thread, several people are chiming in that they know husbands who had an affair with an AP. I don’t know a single one - still feel like it is very very rare, but sad that it does happen.
This couple had a little girl, she 5 or so. Hopefully she has a really good support network beyond her dad.

The au pair and the husband were having an affair, there are many pictures of the 2 that she posted in social media, saying she was dating him, but keeping a “ low life” ( her words)…
Her mom is giving interviews in Brazil saying her daughter needs to tell the truth, and share what the husband also did….

This is a very confusing story and seems like there is a lot more to it.. not just an au pair gone bad. Why would the husband lie for her?
