My DS is very sweet and intelligent and is social with adults but I cannot imagine he isn’t more work than NT kids his age. He is very docile and quiet in school settings but very energetic at home. And because of his social limitations he isn’t able to do playdates. He also has therapies (mostly in home) and activities after school almost every day. I would like to hire a nanny for the baby full time and for my older son for an hour or two after school and on random school holidays. What is the best way to handle this? I would like to hire the nanny before the baby comes so she can get to know DS but because he is in school all day I don’t really want to pay someone for full-time hours for hanging with DS for an hour a day and I don’t know if someone looking for full-time work would be open to working part-time until the baby comes. I’m also concerned that it is going to be harder to find someone decent because of the time of year.
If you don't want to pay her then he is in his own! You are an idiot

Probably not. I mean, what do you think the chances are of the nanny's landlord being ok with just receiving part of the rent until you need her full time? Or the grocery store only wanting part of the total bill of the food she wants to buy?
