This website is easy to use, and the caregivers all have backgrounds checks performed and have reviews posted.

I used to have access to backup care through my work that included in-house care. They would send nannies through various agencies (White House nannies was one; another was College Nannies and Tutors which doesn't seem to exist anymore). I changed jobs so no longer have that benefit but have been looking at the various nanny agencies who seem to offer this as a service to individual families. Does anyone have experience with using any of these? They all seem to require a registration fee, so I worry that if I register for one and they can't find me backup care then I will have wasted that money. With the work one they put the request out to various agencies so I never saw the admin side- ie I wouldn't have know which responded quickly had the best nannies for the types of requests I saw- I only saw the end result (and all the caregivers sent were fine from different agencies)

Anyone have experience they wouldn't mind sharing?
