If you use a tax/payroll company, ask them if they offer the wrap in workers comp and what options they have. You can also call you home owners insurance and see if you can get it as a rider on your current policy.

I cancelled my policy 2 months after renewing for a year, and the company (Chesapeake) held on to the equivalent of 2 months premium. I’m annoyed because they didn’t tell me upfront that they wouldn’t fully prorate a refund. That had been my experience with other types of insurance cancellations.

Does anyone know of a workers comp insurer who doesn’t do that? I’m re-hiring my nanny and would like to switch insurers.
