Does the contract state what paid holidays you get?

they should have paid your regular rate for the holiday plus whatever rate you charged for working that day. yes, they should pay "twice".I sometimes babysit on a holiday and get paid ( though I do not request overtime which is 1,5 of the rate) , I just get regular rate plus it is a paid holiday, so double money for me.

You usually have a paid holiday off. They asked you to work and you said yes for overtime pay. They paid your overtime rate. It sounds like they did it correctly.

I started a new job on the week of Memorial day.
My question is-
I have a new contract that say I have guaranteed 45 hours of work per week.
My boss asked me if I could work on Memorial day and I said yes if they paid me overtime on Memorial day.
In this case they will pay me my regular weekly salary PLUS my overtime day right?
I worked from 8am-4pm
That means 1.5x from 8am-4pm
For what I understand,I'm supposed to get paid twice.
My regular day plus my overtime. No?

They only added the overtime amount for the day for that Monday on my payroll.
