When you work through an agency then the agency is your employer. The agency bills the client (parent) and the agency pays the employee (,nanny). The agency takes out Federal. FICA, and state taxes and sends employee, w-2 beginning of new year.

Anonymous wrote:Yes you can under 1040 if they paid you ALL cash that’s how you filed (the reason why so many Nannies are dammed at the end of the year. Better be taxed or you end up handing out whatever cash you made—it sucks! Been there and learned my lesson.)
