I'm not happy anymore working for them, the kids and the parents are very problematics. They have anxiety issues, worry too much about everything and this is starting to reflect in my personal life.I really love the kids(2 kids and another one on the way)and I feel really sad having to leave them but at the same time I feel that if I stay one more year I will go crazy.
Not to mention they don't pay me well.
The parents are leaving dishes in the dishwasher since Friday and when I come on Monday is more work for me to do.
Laundry everywhere, they never take the trash,it's just too much at this point.
My question is;What so I do???
Can I just quit like that?I feel so bad and I don't know what to tell them because honestly,I can't tell them the real reason why I'm leaving.
What would you do in my situation?
I don't want to disappoint them and leaving like that is not my character.

On their end, best believe they’d give you two weeks to find another job(if that has been put in contract) if not, they’d let you go. You have to do what works best for you first and foremost. Good luck.

Anonymous wrote:Sorry your job is becoming too much. I’ve experienced the same thing with a family that I liked them at the beginning but then they became too much to handle and ended up doing a lot of housework, tutoring, and meal prep for the mother(not to mention I was asked by Mom a few times if I knew how to patch holes in the bathroom…) this was a high profile family, they never paid me the overtime and when I asked to get mileage reimbursement Mother didn’t like it and said she thought that gasoline was included in my pay plan. Long story short, i got so tired of them that it took a toll in my health so I wrote a resignation letter and send it to the Recruiter first (recruiter was aware of the drama the parents were going through) and then I showed up Monday am and I handed over the letter to the mom. I careless of her reaction(she cried and couldn’t understand why I was leaving) so I gave her 2 weeks notice according to contract. After she read the letter she told
To come back later(in my head I wasn’t coming back-nope!)so then she texted me saying no need to come back at all. I told her that she needed to make sure to have the expenses check by Tuesday first thing in the AM since I had use my CC and also to compensate the two weeks (according to contract we had this clearly written that if fam brakes or doesn’t give notice they ought to pay me.) Recruiter made sure I got my 2 weeks paid and expenses check overnight.
