I do a lot even things that aren’t in my job description. Today was my last day for the year. I made sure I gifted the baby her Christmas gift I also gifted the parents some food stuff from my home country and a nice bottle of wine from there as well and also a card thanking them for a wonderful year. Though there has been some questionable things I always felt like it could be worse and just brush it off. Well today upon getting to work they gave me my year review verbally (We love you and we are happy with you) they did not mention a raise or anything else. At the end of the day I was expecting a bonus or maybe at least a Christmas card and I got nothing, just a hug wishing me merry Christmas and my pay. It was so strange to be treated that way all I could do was cry. I want to mention it but I just feel like it’s pointless. The dad said he had a bonus for me but he forgot to get it at the atm he also said “you got your pay that should be substantial enough” I didn’t know how to respond to that. Anyway just wanted to rant a bit. Merry Christmas everyone.
You do not forget to give a bonus. He could he have written a check. OP. I don't know you but you will get a bonus from me before they come forth with a bonus..
You now know the kind of people you are working for. Find a new job and be happy. You can also tell the father that your you pay was not substantial. What a creep
