Nanny has kept very much in his life - seeing him once a week until he was five and then we moved two hours away so she sees him about once a month and FaceTimes with him all the time. She is family to my son and they’re still best buddies.
What I realized yesterday at lunch was how much I, the mother, love having nanny as a friend and touchstone. Those early years were such a blur for me but nanny has all the memories of DS’s first years and of me as a new mom. She was there day in and day out and can share so much that I forgot! Nanny was a blessing to me as well as my son.
Bull! Did you pay her accordingly? Atta girl doesn't pay the rent.

How much should I give her?I want to be fair.
Thanks
She's been with you five years and working for you had wrecked her health and you are asking how much you should give he! ? The minimum you should give is two months pay but for five years, I would give Six months. If necessary, I would get a bank loan. She gave you give years of her life to keep your children happy and safe. Stop being so cheap.
What a nasty reply. Where does it say Nanny's health is job related? Guessing you're a lousy entitled nanny who can't keep s job.
