You are looking for a household manager/nanny hybrid (important because if you need after school care or coverage on sick days, school breaks, summers etc). Some candidates look for household management without the childcare component.

The only thing that is not traditionally covered in there is deep cleaning which falls under the duties of a housekeeper. Many people have household managers and then cleaners come every 1-2 weeks to handle the heavy cleaning.

OP here, thanks for the feedback. I’m going to start looking at job descriptions for house manager and housekeeper. Also, it sounds like realistically I’ll have better luck getting someone to do two out of my three wants (cooking, cleaning, babysitting) but not all three so thanks for helping me reset my expectations.

It will be difficult to find someone who wants babysitt, be a Housekeeper and be a house manager. Nannies are not willing to take 2 different jobs; mainly the house cleaning. They can be a house manager (who don't clean) Just be nannies or just be a Housekeeper. Good luck if you find someone.

Yeah, it’s an old fashioned housekeeper. Alice from the Brady Bunch. I know of one housekeeper who does this job except for the grocery shopping and cooking.

More of a housekeeper who babysits. I’d definitely say housekeeper/sitter.

You'll need to be very specific with your needs.
What are your ideal hours? Is there any flexibility? It sounds like you need set time Monday thru Friday because of the morning and afternoon tasks.
Get the kids ready for school - ages? Help them bathe? Brush teeth? Get dressed? Or are they more self-sufficient and need reminders? Do you expect her to make breakfast and oversee that?
Clean the house - Deep clean or more tidy and put away toys?
Meal prep - how complicated are the meals? Are there special allergies/food requests? An example food menu is ideal.

I think you could find someone, but if the cleaning is deep cleaning that will be the hardest to fill, in addition to the other tasks. IMO.

Most college students won't be able to do this. PP was in a unique situation because the student's courses were all online due to Covid. Now all the schools are pretty much back to normal.

Yes, we have a full time nanny. They have been working for us since our first was 4 months old. Now both kids are in elementary school but we still pay full time.
