Its their home. Its ok they leave clothes in the dryer. Why are you in the dryer anyway if the parents do all the laundry? And, its ok to leave dishes in the sink. If you are there at 7 AM why can't you feed them breakfast and lunch. That is your job that you are paid for.

This is exactly is the kind of parents, every nanny have to avoid at all coast. It's ok leave dishes in the sink and leave clothes in the dryer??? Woww. Yes, we know it's your home.. but nannies need the dryer empty and sink empty to do kids laundry and wash kid's bottles and dishes. So if you parents do all your laundry It's your Job and you responsibility clean up after yourselves; and leaving the areas empty so the Nanny can do her work. The nanny it's not responsible of taking away all your thongs from the dryer and wash your plates after you eat. This is your responsibility and not hers.

You really need to proofread your posts, pp.

I think we can safely assume OP wanted to use the dryer for the kids clothes, Einstein. And it’s not always a part of a nanny’s job to make breakfast. My charges get up at 5 and 6AM and are always fed before I get to work.

Ok, your job is not her job and if the kids were not fed, one would assume it would be your job to feed them.

OP can remove the clothing into a basket and put in the kids clothing. Really, its not a big deal and this is their home. You cannot expect them to keep things spotless 100% of the time, especially with kids and a job. This is really petty.

I could not disagree more. If you’re a nanny - you are a total doormat. If you’re an employer - you’re a terrible one.

You do not know the outline of responsibility in this OP’s position. Do you really think she’d be quitting if these things were part of her agreed upon responsibilities?! Think, PP.

It's incredible how in these times when parents even working from home; tend to leave all sink full of dishes, even worse just throwing their plates after their lunch; thinking it's total responsibility of the nanny to do it as their maid. Even though the dishwasher it's empty; and expecting nannies wash their pans too. Quit

I was scheduled to leave at 3:30pm. I received a text at 3:00pm that she was running late. The dad came home at 5:30pm and was surprised to see me. I gave him my notice and finally left. Mom is late at least twice a week and it's affecting my kids and home life.

Good for you, OP!

Good for you what you want a cookie?!

She deserves more than a cookie and you need to learn how to punctuate a sentence.

They are starting work at 7 am and complaining the parents had not fed the kids breakfast yet. They are also complaining the parents didn't make lunch - their job. It is their home. Its ok they leave clothes in the dryer and dishes in the sink. No one demanded the lazy nanny do it. If the nanny will not feed the kids breakfast or lunch, what is their job.
