Yes. I was an au pair who stayed with host family for over 5 years. After the 2 year program ended my family became my F1 student visa sponsor.

So you're admitting to breaking US immigration laws and bragging about doing so . This visa does not allow you to work. Do you think anyone believes that you provided no child care for them and were not paid? You and Melania Trump.
I don’t see bragging. I see her answering a question asked.

She is a liar and broke out laws and is also a criminal. She is no better than a drug dealer.

Yes, but a student visa does not permit them to work

It's more complicated than that. Au Pairs have to get SSNs to be paid when they come to the US so technically they CAN be paid on the books after they are no longer an au pair. However, the caveat is that once their au pair year is over, their visa expires so they are supposed to return home and do NOT have a work visa.

I see a lot of Nannie’s that say they are former au pairs posting nanny services on various sites. Are these people that finished up their au pair contract and are now staying in the US? Some also say they are students. I’m just wondering if I need to worry about their status or how I can find that out before interviewing.
