In DC the going rate for 1 child is 25$. Don’t sell yourself short for 20$
The going rate is what someone is willing to pay you.

I'm so sorry to hear that from and what happened to you. I completely understand you. I have gone almost for the same situation in the past and it really hurt. The feeling that you never were appreciated by the family. Really sad. Knowing yourself that you have gave everything and getting nothing. Move on. The worst feeling you can have is keep working for a family who doesn't appreciate you at all. Move on. They don't deserve you. Good luck my friend finding a great family who really will appreciate you.

This far, you've only wasted a year with them. Find a new job and quit. Trll them why and give no notice. Soo, for three kids you should be getting $30/hr.
