Lesson for the future OP: no one cares as much about your health as you. Hope you and the baby are okay.

That sucks so bad! Is this in DC - cannot believe they were unvaccinated and still had you working after they tested positive!

Ignore the mean comments on this thread OP.

This family knows that you are expecting yet refused to disclose their positive COVID test results.

That is outrageous to me.
They totally are 100% at fault here!

Oh if you are vaccinated why do you worry about someone who is not?!? It’s not like vaccinated people can’t get sick or spread … vaccinated or not - no difference.

OP, even though you're the employee you still have the right to ask questions in an interview. I'd laugh about "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" and ask that we exchange views of our vaccine cards to reassure all parties that everyone is vaccinated. You have rights too.

In all honestly, not sure why you’re working while pregnant during COVID times in general. Too risky. Find a WFH job.

Maybe she likes a roof over head and food on the table. You are an idiot.

OP, I am so sorry.

I would have been furious, especially being pregnant. I hope you do not catch it.

Can any of you read? OP said that her bosses didn’t immediately disclose their unvaccinated status. She didn’t seem to know they weren’t vaccinated nor that they had COVID.

OP should have asked directly if they were vaccinated before she even met with them. The father would have been proud to tell her no and then OP cancels the interview. And this never would have happened.

What a stupid choice decided to work for a family who is was not vaccinated. This is the first thing you have to ask your future employers; disclosing your status about you have been vaccinated already. You have also all the right to ask them same question about their status immediately. If you would know they were not even vaccinated; immediately run away from that potential employers.

How is it still possible a professional and responsible Nanny accept a Job with parents who are not vaccinated against Covid-19?. Even worse when she knows she is pregnant. Wow. What a poor judgment of you.

+1. Totally irresponsible of OP to work for unvaccinated parents.

I’ve been with this NF for about 3 months. I am currently 5 months pregnant and they are aware of my pregnancy. I left my previous high stress, long hour household management job because I couldn’t handle it with my wicked morning sickness.

One infant, about 35 hours a week and very relaxed atmosphere with zero responsibilities outside the baby. Ideal position for me as I’m feeling pretty sick most days and being able to relax with a small infant has helped tremendously.

However, I noticed both bosses had cold symptoms last week that they consistently assured me was allergies. Both work outside home and I could tell the mom was miserable on Wednesday but she said she has bad allergies but I was on high alert. The dad stayed home on Thursday and I asked if COVID could be a possibility but the Mom said nope, because they “wear mask”. Well, come Friday and both are home super sick and the mom finally admits they tested positive for COVID on Thursday morning and didn’t want to scare me so didn’t tel me till after I worked all morning with the baby they co-sleeping with all Friday morning. She also admitted neither were vaccinated because she was pregnant/breastfeeding and didn’t want to risk it and the dad is generally the Joe Rogan type so I shouldn’t be shocked.

I’m incredibly angry they withheld that information from me. Thankfully I’ve tested negative twice so far, but I’m still incredibly angry.

Also the mother works in public health and went to work on Thursday post test results, so if you went to Pivot Physical Therapy last week I’d suggest you get tested as both showed symptoms as early as Tuesday.
