They are both horrible people and they will screw you over in the end. See this total disrespect as a red flag and start looking for another job now. They are only going to get worse and you’ll get more attached to the child

What if you had an appointment one day - hair, gym class, dinner with old friend, babysitting job for someone else.... Tell them you have to be out by 5 exactly to get to your next thing. See.if it makes a difference. If they are still late knowing that you have somewhere to be, look for a new job

Op, they are in breach of contract. If your end time is 5pm, they should be walking in the door by 4:55pm if they expect a verbal run down on the day.
I had an employer like that and the dad was late almost every day, even when I decided to extend my time, he was still late. Eventually I gave my noticed because they turned into you know what and I could no longer stand to help people like that.
I would address it or give notice. They expect you to be on time, so you should be given the same courtesy. I didn’t want extra money either, I wanted to be relieved on-time.

I would suggest letting them know that unless they have an objection, you're moving the end time back to the original time. Then, I would suggest mentally adding the extra time, and don't get talked into extending again.

OP here. Lateness isn’t in my contract but I could certainly bring up a late fee and they’d pay it but wouldn’t change. It’s not about the money. I hate their disrespect.
