It’s weird to assume anything! If your nanny didn’t express any feelings about you using a sitter on date night then why are you even making an assumption. You have way too much time on your hands OP let that girl go on about her day and you should stop worrying about nonsense.

Don't take it seriously Op. I could say it's common that sometimes this happens. I'm a experienced nanny and also my dear family ask me if I am available to babysitt some wknd. When I have plans already they have someone else to call. And I know that; on Monday when my charges tell me what they did a Saturday night and who was babysitting them; telling me also they had so much fun. Honestly sometimes I do feel a little jealous haha; because I love the kids so muc, but it's ok. They always tell me I am their favorite nanny all over the world. This make my day; and jealousy goes away lol. Just understand your nanny. It's not a big deal.

Buddy you have issues…OP don’t think too much of it, I nannied for a family of five kids and they would always talk about this one babysitter they loved, I was slightly jealous as I loved the kids so much and wanted them to think that way of me as well, but it was never a huge issue that I didn’t want to come to work anymore! I just had more fun with them and let them talk about her all they needed too cause they’re kids!! They love everyone they meet and that’s okay

I don’t think you need to do anything. It sounds like she felt a little jealous or insecure in that moment, but she didn’t say anything to you or the kids so it sounds like she is aware that this is her own issue to deal with. Let her.
