Yeah...I'm in Tampa Bay and you're not getting any nanny for $12 hr. There are upscale nanny agencies here I'm sure.

OP, Florida is a big state, so you should google for where you are moving to.

What?? I live in low COL Ohio, and it's $15-$20 for a nanny here. You can't even get a teenage babysitter for $12/ hour.

If you want a quality nanny, expect to pay more. You pay for what you get. I'm in the south, but I won't babysit for less than $18/hr

The federal minimum wage is $7.25 per hour, and that is the minimum wage in about half the states. From what I can tell, in large swaths of the south and Midwest, nannies don’t make much more than that.

I would expect San Diego, CA to pay more - but even that $15 you quote is less than what people pay in DC, even though the cost of living is probably lower here.

That seems even below minimum wage…..

I live in San Diego CA where most Nannies make minimum $15/hr.

$15 is normal in Miami. I lived there for a few years. Just moved to a far out Philadelphia suburb and the pay is a lot less. It sucks.
