Why do you care if you are vaccinated?

If you get sick, you won’t get severly ill or die. You are less likely to spread because there will be much lower viral load in your body.

Hope she doesn't have a sincere religious belief that keeps her from getting vaccinated.

Her/his choice to not get it. You’re choice to keep or not keep that employee

Medical and religious reasons. This is very tricky. Also, if you don’t have a vaccination requirement listed in your contract, can you just request it on the spot? I’m asking an honest question. How have you been handling COVID this far- can you continue that way until she’s comfortable? If it’s a dealbreaker for you, then I guess you would just give her notice of terminating the contract.

Decide whether or not that's a deal breaker for you. If it is, you need to let her go. You should give her some type of severance and I would think she would be eligible for unemployment.

If you decide it's not a deal breaker, you have to be at peace with that. You can't force her to get a vaccine.

Nanny here (I'm in Europe - will get vaccinated when it's my turn).

I wouldn't keep a nanny that refuses to get the vaccine.

If that's a problem for you, then do what you have to do.

If nanny chooses not to get vaccinated for no real medical reason what do we do, we are both fully vaccinated now and have 2 elementary age children.
