“I can’t get this, and I don’t want to go to the doctor. Would you pleeeease dig this thorn out of my foot?!”
“I tried to cut and dye my hair. Would you mind evening out the back for me please?” (This was tonight.)
“We don’t want the grandparents to stay in a hotel when they come. Can we put our pet in your room permanently, so that both grandparents can come? (One is mildly allergic.)”
“My computer fell and broke, and now I can’t work from home. In the interest of staying less exposed, may I borrow your computer, just when I can’t do my work on my phone, until my computer is fixed? Please?”
I don’t mind doing any of the above right now, but in non-covid times, none of the above would ever cross my employers’ minds!
