Absolutely between $20 and $30 depending on education, experience, English fluency including the ability to read in English, special skills (French, sign language, musical - something extra you need).

Post what you want and see who responds. Up your salary if you aren’t attracting who you want.

“Nannies” (as in more than one) is kind of a dead giveaway they were underpaid, PP. We’ve had one nanny for 5 plus years.

$25/h for one child: $30/h for two children.

You can get a nanny for less than $20/hour if they aren’t legal to work here, are paid cash, you only have one child and they are desperate. Otherwise? $20-30+, depending education, language fluency (English and target other than Spanish), number of children, hours, special needs, etc.

The range is $20 to $30 an hour based on English fluency (if not American), education, and experience.

It depends on what kind of nanny you are looking for, experience level, knowledge she brings to the family, age etc. But after moving to the area and speaking to several families, a fair range would be $25-30/hr and a benefits package (PTO, sick days, paid holidays, healthcare stipend) depending responsibilities and number/ages of children. This is for a nanny with extensive newborn experience with 12 years of being a full time nanny in addition to several continuing education courses (sleep training, positive discipline, baby sign language, newborn care specialist etc).

Think about the quality of life you would want your nanny to have (decent safe apartment, a reasonable commute, ability to buy reasonably healthy food, some money leftover for entertainment and savings, etc.)
