Uh, not that easy. I couldn’t even make an appointment for our au pair until she had been in the country for 15 days and the appointment was a week later. And then the ssn / card was mailed to her two weeks after that.

That seems easy to me.

Not when the au pair just arrived last week. That being said, don’t know why a ssn would be necessary.

My au pair and her friends done numerous tests in CVSs across the area with their insurance cards (and so did my family). I don’t understand what’s the drawback of using insurance especially for au pair (it’s not like their premium will go up or anything). There is no copay.

Where I am you just walk into the ss office, fill out a form and then get the card 10-14 days later.

But you don’t need a ssn to get a covid test.

We aren’t in the dc area but our au pair and the rest of our family have had multiple covid tests that we haven’t provided insurance for nor have we paid for. We go to the city/county run testing centers and just don’t provide insurance if they ask for it. It’s not required. (I’ll add that I have actually provided insurance info for my family the first time we went and the person in charge said “not to bother” doing it again because they’re so busy testing - which is government mandated to be free - they aren’t submitting them to insurance.)

My au pair uses her au pair insurance card. Same day testing in Bethesda. Free.

I don’t know for sure but she may also give her drivers license number.

Anyone know of free covid testing in Mont county without ssn for our au pair?

Seems like in order to qualify for the free testing where gov is billed you have to submit ssn but my au pair doesn't have one yet, she arrived last week.

Thoughts?
