Subject: NIE Family Concern
Honestly, you will likely have better luck with the candidates from outside of the US right now. At our agency, the rematch and extension candidates are mostly in rematch because of COVID. The agencies are doing a horrible job with letting some pretty dire issues slide. These rematch candidates feel like it is their right and entitlement to party and travel and the agencies do not seem to be giving them a reality check

It's a major concern for all families. I look for mature candidates, I think that helps? But yeah, people offering all the perks I'm sure tempting to all au pairs. Fingers crossed kindness prevails.

We have an aupair through the National Interest Exemption. Of course it’s a concern they will rematch but it’s always a concern. Rematches cost a host family and it’s an inconvenience to be without care no matter if it’s an NIE aupair or a normal year.
We decided to try and if it didn’t work out, we would apply again with a new aupair. Lol. We could restart the program ourselves after continually to bring in out of country aupairs. J/k.
You always take a risk matching with an aupair. This is just another risk.
