How do you think your nanny will be able to pay her rent and other expenses, just sitting home unpaid?

No, we are just maintaining your usual routine, which is pretty cautious. We decided not to have any company, partially for the nanny’s comfort level. But other than that we’re just doing her usual thing. Although our nanny is joining us (as a guest) on Christmas day, since we won’t have company and she will be alone.

At least you would have a nanny who would come back. Ask your nanny to stay home unpaid and you’ll be looking for a new nanny.

I truly love my charges and would never endanger them. I have zero problem staying home now and have always worn a mask outside my home or their home.

Just talk to your nanny. I’m sure she loves your kids too and will do what she can to keep your kids and herself safe and healthy.

Is anyone doing anything different to mitigate risk with their nannies (particularly if your nanny does not live alone) now that there’s a surge in Covid cases in the Metro DC area? Wearing masks and asking nanny to wear one? Asking nanny to stay home either now or for a period of time after the holidays (paid or unpaid)?
