She took the job knowing I was pregnant and going to deliver. Baby will most likely be delivered via C-section, which is scheduled for 10/12. I did not have a choice in date, as it is hospital and dr. availability. In her contract, she has specific holidays off (federal ones). So, she has 10/12 off. It would be amazing if she would work that day and then we can "trade" for another random day off. Totally understand if she already has plans, but how inappropriate is it to ask if she wouldn't mind switching?
How mad would you be as a nanny to even be asked? I would prefer not to have the c-section alone, but not sure I can find other care.
You knew this date was set so why didn't you ask weeks ago? Personally, I wouldn't mind but I think you are being dishonest in asking a week before!
