Because they profiteer off family fees. They would have had to spend money to do this.

CC would not have had to spend money to join the lawsuit. Most J program sponsors just didn't have the guts to sue.

APIA is a member of one of the plaintiff groups so aupairs can start applying soon. I think the travel bans and embassy dates are concerns at the moment. We still applied for the NIE becasue our matched aupair will jump the visa queue (or I've been told, Idk) with the exception.

Cultural Care is wrong. Tell them to reach out to the folks handling this. Or talk to AuPairCare or EurAupair. Those program sponsors are on top of it.

It only applies to those who are plaintiffs in the lawsuit, but AupairCare, APIA and EurAupair are plaintiffs. We are having our aupair apply using the NIE so she can get a date before January, but only because I am concerned the backlog of visa appointments will make things difficult otherwise.

There is a backlog problem, yes, but many consulates have been processing visas for 2+ months. If you find an au pair in a country where the consulates are open, you can presently get an au pair an interview and a visa. I urge folks to move promptly to take advantage of this open window. If consulates don't process, tell the au pair sponsor program to contact US Chamber and promptly report the issue. It can get fixed.

We had hired an afternoon babysitter and were doing okay before we got our au pair, but the few extra hours near bedtime have made a huge difference the past week. Good luck.

Really??? yay!

Yes, really. I suggest you move asap on getting an au pair arranged. The gov't may appeal, and we can't guarantee the future of the injunction. But there is a window open now.

This is not true. Tell CCAP to join the US Chamber. This applies injunction applies to all members of the associations.
