Oh just the way she sideways glances at my husband and laughs at all his lame Dad jokes. The amount of money she spends on her long acrylic nails and pedicures (but they are gorgeous maybe I'm just jealous.)

Ha ha! I love your description! My best friend from high school is exactly like this and always has been. Oddly enough, she works in travel and hospitality!

NONE. Like Mary Poppins, nanny is “practically perfect in every way”.

It's hard to come up with something for our long-term nanny, she is amazing. Probably when she points out expired food and condiments to me (always me, never DH). It feels mom-like.

For our regular babysitter, not only does she not make the kids clean up after themselves/help them, but she leaves her own messes everywhere - takeout container in the sink, powder from her drink mix in a puddle on the counter, etc.

The first would be an issue if they vomit, but it’s no longer an issue.

The second? I would think the backyard would be the one place you’d WANT them to be loud as crazy, that way they’re quieter inside...

I don't really have any complaints.

It used to bother me that the nanny would flip the kids upside down while playing with them after eating because I was worried they'd puke but they never have. And it irritates me that when they're playing in the yard there's a lot of screaming and yelling but that's my issue.

I think she meant she takes too long as in, doesn’t change it frequently enough.

^^I personally do not think taking a long time to change a diaper is such a bad thing.
Especially since you have a toddler.

Some Nannies just like to be thorough when cleaning a child who had a messy diaper.
It is best to have someone who cleans the child well enough so that the child does not get diaper rash.

Doesn’t stand up to my toddler
Also leaves playroom a disaster
Allows toddler to interrupt my meetings (she bangs on door of my home office)
Takes SO long to change my baby’s diaper

But she is a nice person and always means well . She is loving towards my kids and safe about social distancing etc during this precarious time so I just sort of deal

She doesn't seem to see messes. When she leaves for the day, the playroom is a disaster. The stroller is always filthy and covered in cracker crumbs and leaves. Filthy muddy shoes inside the house (we are a shoes-off house).

But she's been with us for years and the kids love her.

There have been several families who expressed annoyance at a couple things I do. Since other families see them as strengths, I change when a family asks.

Just to be clear re dirty dishes - she doesn’t clean up the children’s dirty dishes from snack/lunch.

Just curious, what do you wish you could change about your nanny? Any pet peeves, perhaps too small to bring to their attention? I’m a caregiver and have always wondered if there are any habits or quirks I have that my employer doesn’t want to nit pick about. Thanks!
