Pay her for 40 hours a week or you will be looking a long time. You work full time so why do you not understand that a nanny also needs full time work. People like you make me sick and I am not a nanny but I paid someone to stay with an elderly family member six hours a day but I paid her for 40 hours and I paid $22.50/hr. No housework or laundry. Just keeping her company, making lunch and snacks.

The minimum right now seems to be $25/hour for part time. I’d suggest leaving rate out of your ad and asking them to name a rate. Then you can pick based on who you like from whoever you can afford.

20$ for undocumented or uneducated beyond high school or lack of good English. $25 for educated/legal/native English speaking.

Know that they will jump to a full-time nanny job if they find one, or if offered more than you pay. These are desperate times for so many folks that a dollar or 2 per hour makes a difference in their lives.
